Boca Helping Hands mission is to provide food, medical, and financial assistance to meet basic human needs as well as education, job training, and guidance to create self-sufficiency.
Operating since 1998, Boca Helping Hands’ programs include: Serving Lunch 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday and a Thursday Night Family Dinner; Distributing 4,000+ pantry bags monthly to qualified individuals; Reaching over 1,000 elementary students in 9 schools with BHH Backpacks containing 6 meals and 2 snacks for 33 school weekends. The Job Mentoring Program is helping clients with computer classes, resume building and online job searches; Our Job Training Program is a three Phase program where our clients learn the skills needed to work in their chosen field. These programs include Hospitality, Home Health Aide; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), and IT Help Desk Technician. The Resource Center helps qualified Boca Raton residents in crisis with limited financial help, budget planning and referrals to other agencies; Our Children’s Assistance Program (CAP) helps working parents with their children’s daycare, after-school and summer camp fees.
Boca Helping Hands operates with a staff of 15 and over 300 volunteers who carry out our mission. Volunteer opportunities are available to both individuals and companies.
