The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Palm Beach County (NAMI PBC) is inviting you to become a supporter of our 5th Annual NAMIWalks 5k event which will take place on Saturday, October 27th at John Prince Park in Lake Worth. NAMI PBC is a local grassroots organization created by people within the county living with the challenges of a mental health condition. NAMIWalks is one of NAMI PBC’s major fundraising events, helping us to continue our vital work. The NAMIWalks event has grown each year since its inception in 2014. Last year, NAMIWalks brought together over 800 people to celebrate recovery, honor those we have lost, fight stigma and to create unity. One major aspect of our efforts is to build community partnerships across Palm Beach County. We would be so honored to have representatives of your company join us and make connections with those that you serve and, perhaps, offer relative resources for those in need. Attached you will find our Sponsorship Brochure which explains the opportunities available at the different levels of support. The funds raised by NAMIWalks are used locally to provide education, support and advocacy for an improved quality of life for individuals and families in Palm Beach County impacted by mental illness. NAMI PBC provides best practice or evidence based educational programs that teach ways of coping with the challenges of such conditions. NAMI PBC also provides weekly and monthly support groups across Palm Beach County. In addition to our educational programs and services, we educate the community about severe and chronic mental health conditions and advocate for improvements in the systems of care available to families, friends, and all people with such conditions. All of these essential programs, services and more are offered by NAMI PBC at no cost. We would be most grateful to have your organization be represented at our amazing event. NAMI PBC has served thousands of people over 34 years. We’ve helped to change and, in some instances, saved the lives of those dealing with mental health conditions. We couldn’t offer these free services without the support of companies, like your own. Thank you for taking the time to consider this request. Should you have questions or need assistance with the process, please feel free to contact me directly at 561-323-2771 or email Lorimc@namipbc.org.
