SOUTH FLORIDA SIMON MALLS SUPPORT HURRICANE IRMA RELIEF EFFORTS Select Centers Serve as Drop-Off Locations for Red Cross MIAMI, FL — September 14, 2017 — Today, Dadeland Mall, The Falls, Miami International Mall, Coral Square Mall and Town Center at Boca Raton announced they will serve as drop-off locations for the Red Cross in an effort to give back to the community and assist those affected by Hurricane Irma. The centers will accept donations throughout September. Locally, the Red Cross is managing a shelter at Florida International University housing more than 500 displaced families from Monroe County. The centers are working closely with the organization to quickly respond to the needs of individuals, families and communities impacted by the hurricane. All goods accepted will benefit those being sheltered. “Our thoughts are with all those who have suffered due to Hurricane Irma and its lingering effects,” said Sara Valega, Area Director of Marketing for Miami International Mall and Coral Square. “We’ve received many requests from the community about how they can help Hurricane Irma victims, and we’re glad to offer a way for our customers to assist people in need.” Dadeland Mall, The Falls, Miami International Mall, Coral Square Mall and Town Center at Boca Raton have also resumed regular hours, offering people a place to visit, take advantage of the many restaurants and services, charge their phones or just take a break from the overwhelming events that have taken place because of Hurricane Irma.
