The Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce provides all nonprofits with the opportunity to host events throughout the month of August, traditionally the slowest time of the year, as a way to stimulate commerce for the local merchants in the Boca Raton community. Junior Achievement of South Florida was founded locally in 1959. In the 2013-2014 school year, Junior Achievement programs delivered programs to 46,500 students spanning grades K-12. Junior Achievement brings the free enterprise system to life in the classroom and at JA World Huizenga Center, through two hands-on learning programs: JA BizTown and JA Finance Park, geared towards 5th and 8th graders, respectfully. Students learn about entrepreneurism, financial literacy, and the global economy so they can own their future financial success. # # #
