TransMedia to Perform Publicity Overture for Renowned Pianist Elena Klionsky, Nicknamed ‘Piano Phoenix’ For Her Rise from Tragedy to Triumph BOCA RATON, FL. --TransMedia Group said it was retained by renowned concert pianist Elena Klionsky to provide a crescendo of publicity for her upcoming “Chopin at The Chalfonte” concert series here at The Chalfonte in Boca Raton, to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. TransMedia said its publicity will highlight her numerous career achievements, from playing the piano at age five in her native St. Petersburg, Russia and her exemplary academic achievements at The Juilliard School of Music, to her highly-acclaimed solo recitals, orchestral appearances, and TV and radio performances worldwide. “We’re honored to represent such an accomplished, world-class virtuoso pianist as Elena Klionsky,” said Tom Madden, CEO of TransMedia, who inherited his love of classic music from his father, who was first violinist with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra and later with The Boston Pops under maestro Arthur Fiedler. “Our publicity for Elena will also focus on the miraculous comeback she has made from an accident that paralyzed her right hand, nearly ending her brilliant career,” said Madden. For years, Klionsky struggled to regain motion in her fingers and today is nicknamed ‘Piano Phoenix’ for her rise from physical trauma to once again gracing the world's concert stages with her artistry. “Elena is back after almost seven years of continuous physical therapy and dedicated practicing, which has made her an inspiration to people facing physical challenges everywhere,” said Madden. TransMedia will kick off their PR campaign with a publicity overture for her upcoming concert series at The Chalfonte, comprised of three musical afternoons starting with “Holidays in Provence,” scheduled for 3 PM Sunday, Dec. 28, featuring French Music for Violin and Piano with Tatiana Berman on violin, followed by French coffee and pastries. Publicity efforts will then segue to Chopin at The Chalfonte, 4 PM on Sunday, Jan. 25, featuring the music of Frederic Chopin performed by Klionsky, followed by Polish/French afternoon tea. TransMedia will reach a high water mark prior to the concluding concert, titled “Water World”, featuring music and artwork at 5 PM on Sunday, February 22. This will feature seascapes by Elena’s sister, noted artist Nadia Klionsky, and performances by Elena of ‘seaphonic’ selections such as Ravel's “Jeux d'eau” and Liszt's “Venezia e Napoli”, to be followed by a seafood buffet. The cost is $30 per person, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. For ticket information, contact The Chalfonte at (561) 392-1530.
