JDRF One Walk Boca Raton Leadership Named Local Executives Lead Fundraising Efforts in South Palm Beach County Boca Raton, FL -- January 30, 2015 – JDRF is excited to announce new leadership for JDRF One Walk, formerly known as Walk to Cure Diabetes. Three Boca Raton Chamber Trustee Members have assumed leadership roles with this community endeavor that raises awareness about diabetes and the urgent need to find a cure. JDRF One Walk is set for Saturday, March 28, 2015 and will be hosted on the grounds of the Mizner Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton. Check in begins at 7:30 a.m. and the Walk will get underway at 8:30 a.m. Leading the charge as Presenting Sponsor is John M. Maloney, Jr., President & CEO, Bluegreen Corporation. Rebecca DiStefano, Esq., Attorney and Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, P.A. is serving as Chief Event Champion and Lisa Jensen, VP/Branch Manager/Business Development Officer, LANDMARK Bank is serving on the Corporate Development Committee. Also serving in a leadership capacity is Mark Feltingoff, a Boca Raton Resident and President of J.C. White Architectural Interior Products. Together these leaders are helping to spread the word about the newly launched JDRF One Walk, which keenly focuses on sharing information about the life-saving diabetes research JDRF is currently funding. JDRF’s ultimate goal is to find a cure, but until that cure is realized, finding better treatments for those living with the disease is always in the forefront as well. JDRF One Walk is a family-friendly event, welcoming individuals, family, corporate and school teams. The two-mile trek will proceed through beautiful east Boca, where participants can walk, run, bike roller blade or skate board. There will be complimentary refreshments, vendors, live entertainment and even pets on a leash are welcome.
