BOCA RATON, Fla. (February 9, 2015) – Florida Atlantic University students, alumni and members of the business community are invited to compete for a share of more than $200,000 in cash and prizes in the 2015 FAU Business Plan Competition, hosted by FAU’s Adams Center for Entrepreneurship and the College of Business. Anyone interested in registering for this year’s Business Plan Competition must fill out a simple profile, along with a few sentences about the type of business they plan to pitch by Sunday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m., at fau2015.istart.org/. Final business plans must be submitted by Sunday, March 15 at 5 p.m. The 16 finalists will be announced online on Friday, March 27 after 5:30 p.m., with the competition taking place Wednesday, April 8 through Friday, April 10, at FAU, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. Teams participating in the competition have the opportunity to meet and network with, and receive feedback from, experienced venture capital principals, early stage angel investors, successful entrepreneurs and senior business leaders who will serve as judges for the competition. Winners will be eligible to receive cash prize money, legal and business services, office space, the opportunity to present their business plan to local angel and venture capital groups and more.
