BOCA RATON PUBLIC LIBRARY – DOWNTOWN HOSTS FLORIDA STORYTELLER BOB PATTERSON (Boca Raton, FL) – The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to launch its Story Central: Storytelling Performance Series with an entertaining presentation by Bob Patterson. This event will be held at the Downtown Library, 400 NW 2nd Avenue, on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. A professional singer, songwriter, and storyteller, Bob Patterson has more than forty years of experience performing at clubs and festivals all over the United States, and on nationally syndicated radio and television programs. With a distinctive voice and 12-string guitar technique, Patterson takes listeners on a trip through the real Florida that is filled with humor and folklore. His stories tie audiences back to the land, to the plants and animals, to Florida’s precious water and real people. His poignant music and stories evoke nostalgia for a way of life that is quickly fading. "Bob Patterson is one of the most respected Florida performers working today. He has a deep knowledge and appreciation not only of his art, but also of the richness of our state's history, culture and environment. He is a Florida original," says Dr. Caren Neile, professor of storytelling studies at Florida Atlantic University. Learn more about Patterson at www.floridastoryteller.com.
