WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 25, 2016) – Gunster, Florida’s law firm for business, is pleased to welcome five law students to the firm to participate in its ten week Summer Associate Program. Each summer, Gunster offers a select group of second year (2L) law students the opportunity to experience and participate in on-going client matters across multiple practices. The Summer Associate Program is open to law students who have completed two years of coursework. Summer associates gain valuable, real-world experience in a diverse, business-focused law firm, while receiving mentorship from its practicing attorneys and participating in attorney training and networking activities. Gunster is pleased to welcome this year’s group of Summer Associates to its West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami offices. Emily Baxter is a law student in the class of 2017 at the Florida State University (FSU) College of Law. She is vice president of the Moot Court team and a member of the FSU Law Review and the Student Bar Association. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Mathematics from Hamilton College, where she was a member of the Women’s Varsity Ice Hockey team. Logan DeSouza studies law at the Duke University School of Law, class of 2017, where he is a staff editor of the Duke Environmental Law & Policy Forum and a student representative for LexisNexis. Logan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Affairs, magna cum laude from Florida State University, where he was the captain for the Club Cross Country team. Sebastian Fox is a law student in the class of 2017 at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He is a Law Review editor and is in the Environmental and Land Use Law Certificate Program. Sebastian holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude and is also a candidate for a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Florida. He played men’s lacrosse as an undergraduate. Daniel Naydenov studies law at Vanderbilt University Law School, class of 2017, where he is a member of the Mock Trial Board traveling team and president of the Labor & Employment Law Society. Daniel earned a Bachelor in Business Arts in History, cum laude from the University of Florida, where he was assistant director for Gator Growl. Lauren Shumate is a law student at the University of Notre Dame Law school, class of 2017, where she is the executive notes editor for the Journal of Legislation and on the Moot Court Board, Brief Writer—Showcase Team. Lauren holds a Bachelor in Criminology and a Masters in Political Science from the University of South Florida, where she was the captain of the Women’s Varsity Tennis Team.
