BOCA RATON, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott recently visited HABCO Manufacturing to highlight the company’s job growth for families in the community. HABCO Manufacturing has created 12 jobs in less than one year and currently employs more than 200 Floridians, including 150 employees with unique abilities. “We are honored to receive this recognition from Governor Scott and we take pride in creating valuable jobs in our community,” said Bob DiRocco, Executive Director at HABCO. “We look forward to continuing our training and hiring of even more workers in the future.” Governor Scott was joined by commissioner Steven Abrams and Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie to recognize HABCO’s commitment to providing training and creating jobs for adults with unique abilities in the local community. HABCO Manufacturing is an integral part of the Habilitation Center for the Handicapped, Inc., and has been named South Florida’s “Manufacturer of the Year.” The company holds the same accreditations required by the high-level industries it serves, such as AS9100C, SIX SIGMA and ISO 9001:2008.
