MIAMI – October 10, 2016 – Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Michelle A. Caputi has joined the firm as Of Counsel to serve clients with healthcare-related governmental, regulatory and transactional matters. Caputi brings nearly 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, and will be resident in the firm’s Boca Raton office. “The world of health law and regulation is constantly changing, and in order to better serve the needs of our clients we have expanded our firm’s healthcare practice with the addition of skilled and experienced attorneys including Michelle,” said Paul Steven Singerman, co-chair of Berger Singerman. “She brings a wealth of experience from her work as in-house counsel for several hospitals and medical institutions in South Florida as well as through her own private practice, and is a strong addition to further enhance the expertise and skills of our Government and Regulatory team.” Most recently, Caputi served as an attorney at Caputi Health Law P.A. where she represented large health care systems, insurance providers and other healthcare entities with healthcare regulatory and transactional matters, including leases, physician/vendor/services agreements and clinical trial agreements. She also provided legal guidance and assistance with healthcare fraud and abuse as well as issues relating to FDA requirements for clinical research. Prior to her work at Caputi Health Law, she served as regional associate general counsel for the North Broward Hospital District. Caputi earned her B.S.in social work from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, her M.S. in social work from New York University and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law.
