Boca Raton, Fla. (January 24, 2017) – Save the date for the 15th annual YMCA of South Palm Beach County’s Inspiration Breakfast. The event – the Y’s largest fundraiser of the year – will be one of encouragement and motivation and will feature Miami Dolphins Legend, Jason Taylor as this year’s keynote speaker. Its purpose is to raise funds for the Y’s financial assistance program which provides everyone, regardless of income, the ability to participate in valuable, life-changing YMCA programs. Offering their support for the fourth year in a row, BB&T will be this year’s presenting sponsor with their very own Evan Wyant as the Inspiration Breakfast Chair. Keeping with tradition, Office Depot Global Headquarters will be hosting the event for the third year in a row (6600 North Military Trail Boca Raton, FL 33496). The event will be held on Tuesday, March 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. “The YMCA of South Palm Beach County is honored to host Jason Taylor as this year’s keynote speaker,” said Jason Hagensick, President and CEO of the YMCA of South Palm Beach County. “His presence and generosity in the nonprofit world provides a positive impact to the communities around him – similar to the Y and our Inspiration Breakfast to raise funds needed to continue to provide a positive impact.” Drafted to the NFL in 1997, Jason Taylor is most famously known as the defensive end for the Miami Dolphins and now as a fan-favorite TV and radio star. In 2006, Taylor was bestowed with the highest honor a defensive player can receive; he was named the Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Apart from a long resume of athletic accomplishments, Taylor is very charitable off the field and was honored with the 2007 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for his community service activities, making him an exemplary portrayal of the Y’s three pillars of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Inspiration Breakfast event gathers business and community leaders in support of the Y. Past featured keynote speakers include: Alonzo Mourning, Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee and Miami HEAT legend, Jim Kelly, Hall of Fame Quarterback and Buffalo Bills legend, U.S. Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller, Tim Tebow’s parents, Wally “Famous” Amos, Amway cofounder, Rich DeVos, Orlando Magic owner and former Florida State University (FSU) football coach Bobby Bowden. The Y’s focus of furthering youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in community members of all ages is supported and funded by this rewarding event. The Y is currently seeking table sponsorship starting at $2,500 which includes a Jason Taylor autographed football, coffee reception with Taylor, company name on display and more.
