Riviera Beach, Fla. – Whether you’re in need of volunteer hours, or just want to help out a great cause, The Arc of Palm Beach County has a crafty opportunity for you. The nonprofit is one of a select group of organizations chosen to be a part of the new Art District at SunFest. During the festival, thousands of guests will pass by The Arc’s display, which will showcase the beautiful, handmade artwork designed by its clients. Clients in the nonprofit’s Artisan Program work every day, making works of art that are sold at the Art d’Arc Gallery and at other venues throughout the year. The proceeds raised help support The Arc, while also giving clients a source of income. With SunFest just a few months away, the agency needs help creating more artwork. In the months and days leading up to SunFest, the agency is offering several volunteer opportunities to increase inventory of its popular artwork. On the following Saturdays, February 11, March 11, and April 1, The Arc will open its Courim Center in Riviera Beach to volunteers who want to help. There will also be another volunteer opportunity at the same location April 17-21. People of all ages are invited to help, although children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Don’t let the intricate artwork intimidate you. You don’t have to be a professional artist to help create these beautiful works of art. Along with having a booth at SunFest, The Arc will also have a large mosaic on display in the Art District. A lot of time and energy went into designing this creation, which will be revealed in the coming months. To sign up for a volunteer opportunity, visit http://bit.ly/2jNDppP.
