Norwalk, Conn., January 22, 2018 — The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation is hosting a 5k Walk/Run on Saturday March 10 in Dania Beach, Florida. Honorary race co-chairs, Dr. Melissa Alsina of Moffitt Cancer Center and Dr. Alderuccio of The University of Miami, will be speaking on race day. MMRF 5K Walk/Run Program This program is held across 13 cities to raise awareness and funds for myeloma research and hosts 22,000 participants annually. Patients, patient family members, caregivers, friends, community leaders, healthcare professionals and researchers will all come together to raise awareness and funds at this family friendly event. The MMRF is pleased to present Team Moose says Move Over Myeloma with 2018 Spirit of Hope Award. The team participates and fundraises to honor the memory of the team captain’s father, Larry Caluffetti, who lost his battle to multiple myeloma in 2015. The team has participated in several MMRF 5K’s around the country and this will be their fourth year participating.
