📣 HELP US FOSTER HOPE! 📣 In union with National Foster Care Month, we are launching another phase of our Empty the Orphanages campaign for Uganda! Our partners have been asked to rescue over 40 children from orphanages this year - most are from a facility with up to 140 children stuck inside. 13 more babies were born inside the walls of a prison where they were birthed and remain contained. Our partners have a solid plan - and governmental permission - to set them free and place them in foster care with relatives and/or trained foster parents. Your support...saves lives. One of our Uganda partners just rescued and brought this little one to the hospital yesterday. He was abandoned outside someone's home. He is very ill and severely malnourished. They are calling him Zachary and we would appreciate your prayers for his healing and his heart. Our partners needed emergency funds for medical care, nutritional support, and emergency foster care. Well if this isn't a HALLELUJAH moment, we don't know what is. You might remember these girls, Maria and Olivia, and their siblings. This child-headed household was discovered in Uganda during Covid - their parents had died, and the oldest two, Maria and Olivia (twins) were raising their five younger siblings (Fiona, Charlotte, Stella, George, and baby Leo) on their own. You all rallied back then and your generous support was enough to build them a house and pay for a small plot of land to put it on. These children had been through so very much, and our village became their glue. Because the girls were too young to properly care for baby Leo, our partners placed him in a loving foster family at the time, and his siblings were able to visit with him often, thankfully. We have continued to cover their school fees all this time and have stood in the gap for this child-headed household whenever necessary. But God wasn't done, and at the end of February Leo was permanently reunited with his siblings and Maria and Olivia as his caretakers!! He's 4 years old (soon to be five) now, and the girls are meeting all other family expenses through their hair dressing business!! Our partners are working with them on their parenting plan! FRIENDS, with your help, Leo was rescued from an orphanage as a baby, cared for in a foster family four almost four years, and has now been reunited with his siblings, FOREVER. We are committed to this sweet family and will be there to support them as long as we are able!! Introducing a beautiful family from last year’s “Three for Three” campaign - they are home at last! When our Uganda partner, Home Free, first met this family, two of the children, Alex and Martha, were stuck in an orphanage, and their seven siblings and parents were living in a crowded two-roomed apartment. With your generous support of the campaign, Alex and Martha have been reunited with their family, and our partners built them a safe and sturdy house of their own. They now have a permanent place to call home with room for all nine children, a garden for food and income, and a bright future together! Our partners, and the family, thank you for this incredible hand up!

***URGENT NEED*** Will you please help us stand in the gap for baby Adara in Uganda? She's about two months old and was just rescued two days ago from a busy highway where she was left by her mother, who - sadly - has untreated mental health issues. Unfortunately few people there get the care or services they need. Our partners have this precious baby girl in care now, and we have said yes to emergency medical consult + formula + six months of foster care, a total estimated need of $1,600.
