El-Ad National Properties Announces Demolition of Mizner on the Green in Preparation for Construction of ALINA Residences Boca Raton
Demolition has begun with a charitable appliance harvesting partnership with Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County

BOCA RATON, Fla. (December 12, 2018) – Boca Raton-based El-Ad National Properties, an Elad Group company, announces demolition of Mizner on the Green in preparation for the construction of ALINA Residences Boca Raton at 200 Southeast Mizner Boulevard. Vertical demolition to follow with construction scheduled as planned.  Completion of the first of three towers in the heart of Boca Raton is slated for completion in late 2020.

“Demolition marks a major milestone in the development of ALINA Residences Boca Raton.  With building permits from the City already in hand, this initiates the start of the physical construction process,” said El-Ad National Properties Executive Director of Development Noam Ziv. “We are excited to bring this project to market as it will enrich Downtown Boca Raton, bringing new luxury condominium development to the area while promoting a live-work-play lifestyle.”

Demolition of Mizner on the Green follows a first-time charitable and environment-minded partnership with Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County (HFHSPBC). This partnership promotes a new approach to demolition and deconstruction of existing developments by harvesting and partnering with third parties like HFHSPBC to give back to the local community. El-Ad National Properties is pioneering these efforts with Habitat for Humanity in the South Florida market, hoping to set a precedent for other developers in the area.

El-Ad donated all repurpose-worthy items from the Mizner on the Green rental units including: cabinets, sinks, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, air conditioner handlers, garage doors and opener systems, railing, bi-fold closet doors, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers and more. The new and gently used items are being re-sold in the nonprofit’s ReStores home improvement and thrift shops in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, while other items are being recycled to reduce demolition impact on landfills in Palm Beach County.
