Habitat Young Professionals of Greater Palm Beach County Gear Up for Amazing Year Ahead with New Leadership Team PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL- (September 18, 2024) The Habitat Young Professionals (HYP) of Greater Palm Beach County are gearing up for an exciting 2024 – 2025 season with a new leadership team and a new signature event. HYP is set to surpass its previous achievements and continue making a significant impact in the community. Last year, the Habitat Young Professionals made remarkable strides in their mission to support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County, raising more than $66,000. The group of local leaders also hosted 65 volunteers who contributed over 300 service hours to the organization’s cause. HYP has attracted a growing pool of members, now boasting 50 active members and counting. The new HYP board is enthusiastic about building on this momentum, with plans to launch new initiatives, engage with the community, and create even more opportunities for members to get involved. Leading the charge is the newly appointed HYP President, Rahul Sudhakar, who brings a passionate vision to the team. "I was inspired to join the Habitat for Humanity mission because I believe that everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home. The chance to be part of a community-driven effort to build hope and improve lives deeply resonates with my passion for making a meaningful, lasting impact in the world,” said HYP President, Rahul Sudhakar. The 2024-2025 Habitat Young Professionals Board includes Vice President: Robert Walters; Treasurer: Chelsea Ross; Secretary: Samantha Meltzer; Social Media Chair: Lilit Babaian; Events Co-Chairs: Thomas Mercadante and Brian Ramsey; Membership Co-Chairs: Kara Fuller and Tyler Lilly; Gala Chair: Erin Moye; and Corporate Outreach Co-Chairs: Nikolas Bussey and Nadege Barthelmy. HYP invites you to their first event of the season, the “HOUSE Party” on Friday, November 15 at Northwood Arts and Music. All ages are welcome at this mini music festival that builds homes, communities, and HOPE! Tickets start at $25 and sponsorships are available. As the Habitat Young Professionals kick off an impactful year, they invite individuals who are passionate about giving back and making a difference to join their cause.
