So Is Life brings together extraordinary musical talent from today’s Jewish music scene. Featuring Cantor Ellen Dreskin, Josh Nelson, Dan Nichols and Cantor Rosalie Will, plus esteemed New York composer/performer Elana Arian, So is Life will be an unforgettable concert! Their rich harmonies and exquisite instrumentation are the perfect showcase for musical selections from sacred to secular and traditional to contemporary pop. “I am so excited to bring these incomparable musical artists to Temple Beth El. The Stephen Dubov z”l Memorial Concert series has been a highly anticipated annual tradition since his passing in 2006, and rotates year to year between Temple Beth El and Congregation B’nai Israel in Boca Raton. Cantor Dubov had arrived at Temple Beth El of Boca Raton with great expectations, having been chosen for his ability to hit every note and to inspire. But just over a month after his arrival, he passed away unexpectedly in Detroit while returning to his family to help them prepare for their move from Michigan to south Florida to join him. Born in Miami Beach, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in music education from the University of Miami and he received his cantorial investiture and Master’s Degree from Hebrew Union College.
