BOCA RATON, Fla. (September 21, 2021) - Following the recent reveal of The Boca Raton’s $175 million Phase One evolution, Daniel A. Hostettler, President & CEO, announces his C-Suite management team: Erica S. Kasel as Chief Marketing Officer; Emily Snyder as Chief Sales Officer; and Maria Burns-Aladro as Chief Human Resources Officer. With a proven track record across luxury hospitality, brand marketing, and talent development, these accomplished leaders will oversee the iconic property’s transformation as it reclaims its status as one of the world’s most renowned luxury resorts and private clubs.

Erica S. Kasel, Chief Marketing Officer

Ms. Kasel is an award-winning luxury marketing leader with more than 20 years of experience across the hospitality, publishing, and fashion and beauty retail industries. As Chief Marketing Officer at The Boca Raton, Kasel is charged with delivering a complete transformation of the brand experience. Her focus includes development of bespoke offerings, and immersive retail collaborations and programming, along with innovative communication strategies to reposition the resort and club as the #1 luxury resort destination in North America. In her previous role heading up Marketing and Digital at Chanel for the U.S., Kasel led strategic communications, events and digital initiatives across the fashion, watch and fine jewelry division. She served on the company’s cross-divisional brand, charity, and global task force committees. Most recently, Kasel was Managing Director at Traub, a leading global advisory firm, where she developed retail marketing and business strategies. Prior to that, she relaunched Clé de Peau Beauté for Shiseido’s H.Q. brand team in Tokyo as CMO/CXO of Jane Smith Agency. 

Kasel gained her deep knowledge of the luxury consumer lifecycle as V.P. of Marketing at American Express Publishing, where she published Departures and launched Centurion magazine to Platinum and Centurion cardmembers. Her career foundation in global hospitality sales and marketing was with Omni, Sheraton, The Michelango, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, and Leading Hotels of the World. 

Emily Snyder, Chief Sales Officer

As Chief Sales Officer, Ms. Snyder will focus on driving The Boca Raton forward into A New Golden Era. With more than 30 years of luxury hospitality experience, Snyder joins The Boca Raton with extensive expertise in managing diverse global teams at Five-Star hotel brands, and the ability to quickly assess and align key stakeholders. Snyder will lead change within the resort’s sales culture to build and grow high-performing teams, as well as introduce exceptional experiences that will resonate with high-end groups and leisure travelers. 

Most recently, Snyder was with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Based in London, she led and recruited a global sales team of 70 people in 12 offices as Senior Vice President, Global Sales. These efforts included emerging markets to drive sales into new hotel openings in Paris, Milan, Marrakech, Bodrum, Dubai, Beijing, and Doha. Before that, she served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, The Americas, where she oversaw eight hotels within the collection. Snyder first joined the award-winning hotel group during the opening of Mandarin Oriental, New York. Snyder began her career at the iconic St. Regis New York as Director of Sales. Following that, she joined The Ritz-Carlton Central Park as opening Director of Sales and Marketing, where she surpassed revenue goals and established marketing partnerships with luxury retailers. 

Maria Burns-Aladro, Chief Human Resources Officer

A highly accomplished human resources executive specializing in luxury hospitality, Ms. Burns-Aladro brings 30 years of experience into her new role as The Boca Raton’s Chief Human Resources Officer. Mr. Hostettler’s first C-Suite elect, Burns-Aladro has a proven track record of establishing strong employee culture, guiding training programs, and developing key talent. Her energetic leadership style and modern strategies differentiate The Boca Raton to attract and retain world-class associates who will, in turn, deliver flawless service to guests and members. 

Burns-Aladro’s most recent position at The Boca Raton was as Director of Human Resources, where she spent a decade as the cornerstone of the resort. She oversaw 1,900 employees and was dedicated to achieving a positive work environment while driving engagement, diversity, succession planning, and adhering to all Federal, state, county, and local laws and policies. Previously, Burns-Aladro served as Area Director of Human Resources at Luxury Resorts & Hotels (LXR), Fort Lauderdale Collection, including Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina, and the Bahia Mar Resort & Marina. Before that, she was Area Director of Human Resources for the Naples Grande Beach Resort Waldorf=Astoria, Edgewater Beach Hotel Waldorf=Astoria, and Naples Grande Golf Club. She launched her career at top Florida hotels, including the Omni Hotel Downtown Miami and The Grand Bay—the first awarded Five-Star hotel in South Florida. And she held tenures at Wyndham Miami Hotel and Wyndham Miami Beach Resort.
