Coral Springs, FL – December 6, 2024 — Make Our Schools Safe (MOSS) is proud to announce the incredible success of its 7th Annual Tennis Fundraiser, which raised an impressive $70,000 to enhance school safety. The event, held on a beautiful day filled with tennis matches, raffles, shopping, and a delightful lunch, brought together community members committed to making schools safer for students and staff alike. Thanks to the overwhelming support and generosity of participants and donors, MOSS has made significant contributions to local schools: $24,500 to Coral Springs High School: This funding will be used for the construction of a School Security Hut, as well as the purchase of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and Stop the Bleed kits to enhance emergency preparedness. $23,000 to Tamarac Elementary School: This donation will support building a School Security Hut needed for critical safety and security, ensuring a safer learning environment for students. $23,000 to Heron Heights Elementary School: These funds will be dedicated to enhancing safety measures and fostering a secure atmosphere for the school community by building a School Security Hut. The Tennis Fundraiser exemplified the spirit of community and collaboration that is at the heart of MOSS’s mission. Attendees enjoyed a day of friendly competition, engaging activities, and opportunities to shop from local vendors, all while supporting a cause that resonates deeply with families and educators.
