BOCA RATON, Fla. (December 1, 2021) – The Boca Raton today unveils MB Supper Club, a new dining experience at the storied South Florida resort. A nod to the gilded age of supper clubs in the 1930s and 1940s when high society frequented coveted establishments for dinner and a show, MB Supper Club features classic continental cuisine, masterfully crafted cocktails, and live entertainment in a timeless setting. This is the first of several new restaurants opening this winter as part of A New Golden Era of The Boca Raton—the luxury resort’s most significant evolution in its almost 100-year history that includes a $200 million phase one transformation. A traditional supper club with a modern twist, MB Supper Club was developed in partnership with Capital One, and designed in collaboration with lifestyle expert Colin Cowie. Decor highlights the original Cloister architecture and intricate molding, and pays homage to the former Monkey Bar—a beloved cocktail lounge dedicated to Addison Mizner, the original founder and architect of The Boca Raton, and his monkey, Johnnie Brown. Guests will spot gold monkey sconces, and whimsical monkeys enjoying late-night antics on deep red wallpaper. Upon arrival, members and guests are transported to a bygone era, with lush greenery beneath a barrel ceiling of striking gold. The walls and original columns are deep emerald green in a lacquered high-gloss finish. The sultry space features seating in rich red and black velvet, with pops of gold. Adjacent to the main dining room, a lounge offers additional seating and a bar. For an alfresco setting, tables are set under bistro lighting and starlit skies on the picturesque Spanish Terrace. Servers are tailored for the scene in custom-made red supper club jackets paired with black velvet bow ties and black tuxedo pants. MB Supper Club’s menu is a contemporary interpretation of the classics, served from silver carving carts and plated on The Boca Raton’s original flatware from the 1950s. Delectable starters include Oysters Rockefeller and Crab Louie, and signature main dishes range from Filet of Beef á la Wellington to Crispy Duckling a’ la Orange. Baked Alaska is theatrically prepared tableside for a sweet finale, and Executive Pastry Chef Sebastien Feneyrol’s specialty soufflés are presented in copper pots. Cocktails are equally enchanting as the dishes, with each beverage shaken, stirred, and swirled with great aplomb. Signature cocktails include the Florida Grapefruit Martini, Rum Old Fashioned, and Honey & Sage Gin Fizz. “Our vision for The Boca Raton is to provide extraordinary experiences year-round for our members and resort guests. As part of our mission to reclaim status as one of the world’s premier luxury resorts, we are introducing a world of flavor – from decadent fine dining to whimsical delights,” said Daniel A. Hostettler, President & CEO of The Boca Raton. “At MB Supper Club, we have created a distinct ambiance in one of our most historic enclaves, where guests are promised an unparalleled evening.” MB Supper Club is now open Wednesdays through Saturdays, with live music performances from an elevated stage draped with emerald green velvet. The weekly rotation includes Latin Night on Wednesdays, Jazz on Thursdays and Sundays, Piano on Fridays, and Boca Standards on Saturdays. Every culinary experience at The Boca Raton has been or is being reimagined during this resort transformation. The Flamingo Grill, the first signature dining collaboration with Major Food Group (MFG), opened this past summer. Up next, Sadelle’s will open in December offering breakfast and lunch, and weekend brunch. Palm Court, at the heart of the property on Lake Boca, will reopen in December following a floor-to-ceiling renovation. Guests of the adults-only Yacht Club will soon find exclusive fine dining in Flybridge, featuring inspired ocean views. In early 2022, two additional collaborations with MFG will explore Japanese and Italian cuisine. MB Supper Club is open exclusively to resort guests and members of The Boca Raton Club.
