Grover Corlew Launches School Supply Drive

Grover Corlew Launches School Supply Drive for Palm Beach and Broward County Title I Schools

Boca Raton, Florida (June 31, 2022) – Real Estate Investment Management Group Grover Corlew has launched its annual school supply drive to collect the necessary supplies students will need in the fall to begin the school year successfully. Among the many disruptions of Covid is that donations of school supplies are at lower levels than pre-Covid.

“Unfortunately, the impact of Covid is still being felt by teachers, students and parents as there are less resources but the needs haven’t changed. If anything, the needs have increased,” said Partner Anuj Grover. “We want to start early in the summer not only to give tenants, vendors and the community a significant amount of time to participate, but also so we can give students the tools they need to begin the new school year that will help set them up for success.”

School supply drives like Grover Corlew’s have a significant impact as teachers spend an average of $750 to $1,000 out of their own pocket on supplies for their classroom. Grover Corlew is collecting backpacks, folders, notebooks, pencils, art supplies and more for teachers and students in Title I schools that will distributed through the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County and Broward Education Foundation. The company has been supporting schools in Palm Beach and Broward counties for more than five years.

“The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County and the Broward Education Foundation should be commended for their support of teachers, students and families in our local communities,” said Partner Mark Corlew. “Every child should look forward to starting the school year with new supplies, but unfortunately not all are prepared with even the most basic necessities. We want to help change that.”

School supply centers for Title I schools in Palm Beach County and Broward County are looking to continue to fill their shelves by August. According to 90% of teachers surveyed by the national non-profit Kids in Need Foundation, three in four students arrive to class without the requisite school supplies necessary for learning.

“Educating future generations is important to Mark and me,” Grover said. “We see the value in the public school system as both of us attended public schools. It’s particularly important to support Title I schools.”

Grover Corlew is building multifamily residences under the Mayla brand and has several commercial properties throughout Palm Beach and Broward counties. For more information on Grover Corlew, visit grovercorlew.com.
